About us

Representing the True Spirit of Martial Arts

At Humble Fightwear, our name has always meant more than what’s printed on a rash guard, pair of shorts, or BJJ gi. It represents the values we believe martial arts should stand for — humility, respect, discipline, resilience, and continuous improvement.

Since starting Humble Fightwear in 2020, our goal has been simple: build a high-quality Australian Jiu-Jitsu brand that represents the martial artist as much as the athlete.

Today, that journey has taken another major step forward with the opening of our Humble Fightwear storefront in Perth, Western Australia. What started as an idea has grown into a physical space where the local BJJ community can walk through the doors, see our products, try on different sizes, and experience the brand in person. For us, that is a milestone we're incredibly proud of.

The Humble Code

Humble Fightwear has always been about more than the gear we make. As the brand has grown, we've defined the principles we want Humble to represent — both on and off the mats. The Humble Code is built around character, hard work, respect, positivity and doing things the right way. These values guide the gear we create, the athletes we support and the way we contribute to the martial arts community. Want to know what the Humble name truly stands for? Read The Humble Code and discover the five principles behind our brand.  The Humble Code

Positivity Over Controversy

Social media has changed the way martial arts is promoted. Controversy, arguments, rage bait and clickbait can generate attention quickly — and we understand why it happens.

But that's not the path we've chosen for Humble Fightwear.

We would rather promote the athlete putting in rounds when nobody is watching. The coach staying behind to help a student. The competitor showing respect after a difficult loss. The white belt having the courage to walk through the academy doors for the first time.

It might not always be the most exciting content for an algorithm, but we believe these are the stories worth telling.

Positivity over controversy. Substance over shenanigans.

The traditional martial arts values of discipline, humility, patience and respect might seem boring in today's attention-driven world. But when it comes to Jiu-Jitsu — and life — they're still some of the most powerful tools a person can develop.

High-Quality BJJ Gear Built for the Mats

Our philosophy is important, but we also believe the products carrying the Humble name need to perform.

Humble Fightwear produces premium BJJ and no-gi clothing designed by people who understand what grapplers actually need. Comfort, durability, movement and fit are considered throughout our product development process.

Our growing range includes:

  • BJJ rash guards in short and long sleeve options
  • Grappling and MMA shorts, including high-cut and standard-length designs
  • Lightweight BJJ gis for training and competition
  • Women’s Jiu-Jitsu clothing with female-specific cuts
  • Kids BJJ gear for younger practitioners
  • Jiu-Jitsu t-shirts, hoodies and casual apparel
  • BJJ accessories and training essentials
  • Custom BJJ gym gear for academies and teams

From someone buying their first Jiu-Jitsu kit to experienced competitors preparing for major tournaments, our aim is to provide gear people can trust every time they step onto the mats.

Designed for Real Jiu-Jitsu Practitioners

Fit is especially important with BJJ clothing.

Our rash guards are designed to provide a close athletic fit while still allowing the stretch and movement required for grappling. Our shorts use flexible performance materials to allow unrestricted movement through wrestling, guard work and scrambles.

We've also continued developing our women's and kids' BJJ ranges, because we believe properly fitting Jiu-Jitsu gear shouldn't be an afterthought.

Customers shopping online can use our detailed size guides and size recommendation technology, while our Perth customers now have another option — coming into the Humble Fightwear shop and actually trying their gear on.

A Jiu-Jitsu Store for Perth

Opening our physical store is one of the biggest milestones in the Humble Fightwear journey so far.

Having a Jiu-Jitsu store in Perth gives our community somewhere to see the products in person, feel the materials and try different sizes before deciding what works best for them.

More importantly, we want it to feel like a place connected to the community rather than simply somewhere that sells clothing.

Our opening days and trading hours are updated regularly on our website and social media, and customers are welcome to visit for product try-ons, returns and exchanges.

It's another small step in a much bigger journey.

Supporting the Australian Jiu-Jitsu Community

Humble Fightwear has always been closely connected to the Australian BJJ community.

We've had the privilege of supporting athletes, competitions, gyms and people pursuing their goals through Jiu-Jitsu. Seeing athletes wearing Humble at local tournaments, major championships and international events is something we'll never take for granted.

Winning matters. Competition matters. Performance matters.

But how you carry yourself while pursuing those things matters too.

That's why the athletes and people representing Humble are chosen for more than their results. Character, attitude and the way they treat the people around them are equally important.

Custom BJJ Gear for Australian Gyms

We've also expanded our custom Jiu-Jitsu gear service, helping academies create professional BJJ rash guards, grappling shorts, gis and complete team kits.

We offer low minimum order quantities, flexible sizing options and custom designs to make ordering academy gear easier for both large and small gyms.

Whether you're creating your first ranked rash guard or developing an entire custom no-gi collection, our goal is to make the process simple while maintaining the quality we'd expect from anything carrying the Humble name.

Respect the Process

Humble Fightwear isn't about pretending accomplishments don't matter.

It's about understanding what it took to achieve them.

The losses. The early mornings. The injuries. The rounds where nothing worked. The people who helped you. The lessons you learned along the way.

That's the process.

From starting the brand in 2020 to opening our Perth storefront and seeing Humble products worn on mats around Australia and overseas, we're proud of how far we've come — but we're even more excited about where we're going.

We'll continue creating high-quality BJJ gis, rash guards, grappling shorts, no-gi gear and martial arts apparel, while staying committed to the principles the brand was built around.

No manufactured controversy required.

Respect everyone. Respect the art. Respect the process.
