What is the ADCC World Championship?

The ADCC World Championship is one of the most prestigious competitions in submission grappling.

Unlike a standard BJJ tournament, competitors don't simply enter ADCC Worlds. The field is made up primarily of athletes who have earned qualification through the gruelling ADCC Trials, returning champions and selected invitees.

That creates incredibly deep divisions filled with some of the best No-Gi grapplers on the planet.

The 2026 championship features men's divisions at -66kg, -77kg, -88kg, -99kg and +99kg, alongside women's -55kg, -65kg and +65kg divisions.

Tito John Carle – +99kg

Tito John Carle earned his place on the ADCC World Championship stage by winning the first Asia & Oceania Trials.

Now he steps onto one of the biggest stages in grappling and into an absolutely stacked +99kg division.

Tito will share the division with some of the biggest names in the sport, including returning champion Felipe Pena, Victor Hugo, Josh Saunders, Daniel Manasoiu and others.

From winning Trials to representing Australia in Kraków, it's been an incredible journey to follow.

And now it's time for the biggest test.

Roberto "Bob" Frias – -88kg

Roberto Frias punched his ticket to Poland by winning the second Asia & Oceania Trials, earning his position in ADCC's highly competitive -88kg division.

Bob joins a field featuring elite international grapplers from across the world.

We've been fortunate enough to follow the work that happens away from the competition mat — the training, preparation and countless hours that go into earning an opportunity like this.

Now Australia gets to watch him put that work on display on the world stage.
